You are not going to believe this! On one of my new favorites websites, www.atlantaonthecheap.com, I found a coupon to get a FREE rotisserie chicken from Whole Foods (only in some states, sorry Rockfordians). There is also a coupon for free flowers but I mostly I am excited about the chicken!
You may have heard the other nickname Whole Foods has earned, "Whole Paycheck", so I rarely go shopping there. But you better believe I'm going to get my free chicken. Yum!

Where the magic happens
.... the magic of READING, you perv! (Haven't you ever seen MTV's Cribs?!)
Seriously, my very talented mama made us this beautiful bedding for our bed and I love it. I picked out all the fabric and she did all the work! She even made a matching shower curtain for the bathroom. Thanks, Mom. I feel like I now have a proper boudoir- ooh la la! Next step: a headboard and footboard. On our way to a true master bedroom!

Yellow River Game Ranch
We went with our playgroup to the Yellow River Game Ranch this week. It was so cool. There is a path winding through a wooded area that is full of deer, rabbits, chickens, ducks and geese. They walk right up to you and you can feed them carrots and crackers. More animals are in cages or behind fences: a black bear, donkeys, ponys, turkeys, peacocks, even buffalo. We saw and fed all kinds of animals. Lily fed (and teased, I might add) carrots to some deer and rabbits. Sam fed all the animals but was mostly excited about chasing squirrels, of course. We will definitely go back. It was really fun.
I almost forgot to mention that the Yellow River Game Ranch is the home of Georgia's own weather predicting groundhog, General Beauregard Lee. Beau passes his time in a white-columned Southern mansion called Weathering Heights Plantation. He owns an architectural water fountain; a postal box; a granite monument; a monogrammed lawn marker, sundial, doormat and a satellite dish that allows him to watch PBS nature specials. He has further enjoyed a broad jump and high diving board which readied him for The Olympics. It is alleged that Beau’s Official Mansion also includes a laptop computer for his prodigious correspondence and a Wine Cellar to recover from the labors of His National Holiday. (I got all this info from their website and I can tell you it is all true!)

Hi Ho, Hi Ho
Going to work on some "broofs" at the office.
This picture reminds me of a favorite poem as a little girl:
SOMETHING MISSING
By Shel Silverstein
I remember I put on my socks,
I remember I put on my shoes
I remember I put on my tie
That was painted
In beautiful purples and blues.
I remember I put on my coat,
To look perfectly grand at the dance,
Yet I feel there is something
I may have forgot--
What is it? What is it? . . .

Super Star

You may not know this but my brother in law, Cary, is a kickass motocross racer. He was in the local paper. Check it out!

He is racing this week in Tennessee. Good luck and have fun, Cary!

Ye Olde Tuck Inn
We have been lucky to have lots of fun visitors in the last few weeks. The Tucks came to stay with us and we put them to work! They helped me paint our bedroom and bathroom, installed a ceiling fan, got us a new storm door, and babysat numerous times. Thanks Carol and Hazen! You are the best!
Jess and her boys, Moseley and Chambers, came from Birmingham to visit. Sam and Moseley were very excited to see each other. They always seem to pick up right where they left off. They have so much fun together but fight like brothers too. But they still love each other! I love watching them play together (or should I say next to each other!). Baby Chambers is growing so fast; he is almost as big as Lily! Such a cutie.
The Kings were here this weekend and we tried to show them some fun things to do here in the ATL. We went to a Braves game, the zoo, and aquarium. Big props to William who babysat Saturday morning so Lacy and I could go shopping. It was a treat for us! Sam adores Savannah and she is really sweet to play with him and let him follow her around. Baby Ella gets more beautiful every time I see her. We always love spending time with the Kings, whether here or in Mobile. We love y'all!

Busted! I always knew Ella wasn't an Auburn fan...
