The Mighty Orange Crush

This is Lily's first experience playing an organized sport. She is (not) the star of team but she does enjoying running around holding hands with her friends and occasionally kicking the ball.

For the second half of the first game, she sat in my lap, crying, and refused to go back out on the field. Turns out she had an ear infection and fever of 104. Oops! I probably shouldn't have gone all Tiger Mom on her that day. Poor baby- doesn't she look pitiful?

Ugh. Why is Blogger trying to force me to use the new format? I don't want to learn anything new. Let's play catch up. I am still 35 and fabulous. Andy is traveling and working hard (and exhausted). Sam is almost finished with kindergarten. He told me yesterday "Only 20 more days!". (Yikes, where did all that time go? Double yikes, I haven't signed them up for camp or swimming lessons yet!) Lily turned 4 and is mastering the art of selective listening. Aww, what an angel. Now, picture time: Sam & his buds at a rock climbing party

Best. Birthday. Ever.

Turning 35 was awesome. My best friend from Vanderbilt, Carolyn, surprised me by flying in from LA for the weekend! She, Shanny, and Andy planned together and I had NO idea. We went shopping, to the Picasso to Warhol exhibit at the High, out to dinner, and then my first ever trip to Johnny's Hideaway! My parents were rockstars and babysat the kids all weekend.
The only bad part was Sunday when I remembered how old I am. I can still party like in my college days; but now it hurts a lot more the next day. You might think I am too old to behave in such an immature way, but you'd be wrong.
